Sick turn overs

25 March 2009
I just realized something while finishing my session yesterday, playing poker online and having all the money on a poker account is very numbing, you stop thinking about what you're playing for and the value of money is lost. I guess I should be happy about it though, don't get me wrong but not caring about money while playing is a very good edge too have since that lets you play the best in every hand instead of folding to make sure you climb another step of the money ladder...

I'm quite disappointed that I didn't go deeper in the Sunday Million Warmup since the price awarded in top 9 was awesome, first place was close to $105,000 which aint to shabby . Ended up 197th out of 4175 which gave me ~$1,000, I busted when I reraised an early position raise with QQ and I ended up in an allin against KK, can't do much about that. Other than that I think that everything is going according to plan, I'm playing at the highest limits when it comes to multitable SNGs and I'm moving up quite good in the single table SNGs aswell. I think in a couple of weeks I'll be multitabling the $109 SNGs for sure.

Oh by the way, the thing that made me realize how numb I was about money was when I added up all the numbers and saw that in one week I had invested more money than I make in one and half year while working at my day time job. Urgh, that's something to think about...

Wopsie!

Ever had the feeling that you're invincible while being drunk? Do NOT confuse that feeling with the feeling of being good at poker...

I never tilt when I play, I only play when I'm absolutely 100 percent sure I want to play, I never play when I'm feeling sick or tired. So this is a bit confusing for me why I actually did play yesterday when I was drunk. Of course there's nothing I can do about it now except for bitching and whining which helps in some degree.

Havn't added up all the numbers yet since I'm hungover like a fucknut but I think I'm down just about $3,000. It's going to be a blast to grind all that back! Urghhh...

Hockey!

11 March 2009
Going to see hopefully the last game in the quarter final today between Färjestad and Brynäs. I'm in a bit of a hurry so I'm going to jump into the shower and then head off to Karlstad, it's going to be greeaaat!

I'll update you tonight if I'll play anything today when I get back, by the way, if there's anyone who can help me customize the design of my blog It would be appreciated, just leave a comment with AIM / MSN

Cya!

$10,000 so close!

11 March 2009
Haha, I was pretty excited about this final table I was on just a few minutes ago, first price was $9,625 and I just said in the previous post that I would make $10,000 when I got home, unfortunately I went out as 5th for $2,800 which made it a good day anyway with profits for over $4,000. Damn though, would've been so funny if I actually have made it to $10,000... Maybe tomorrow, who knows

Cya later, going to bed now after I've taken a shower!

Let's run better!

10 March 2009
Going to watch a couple of House episodes now and then get something to eat before I play poker tonight, hopefully I'll run better today a.k.a not disconnect in the middle of the session...

I finally got the image uploader to work and I just wanted to show you my session a couple of weeks ago, pretty hot!

Fuck you Telia!

10 March 2009
Yes, I'm blaming Telia for loosing yesterday!
I was up $400-$500 yesterday untill it happened, I disconnected while playing 12 $75 / 45 man sngs + a $215 dollar turbo tournament and when I got back I basically had 1 - 2 big blinds in all of the tournaments. I wrote to the support at Full Tilt and hopefully they'll give me back some of the money, a long shot but what the hell!

Overall the session was good yesterday despite loosing close to $2,000, I think I played most of the hands good and I didn't tilt after the disconnect which also is a plus!

And now I'm going skiing which is going to be great, hopefully I'll get my mind set and when I get home I'll score for over $10,000! One can always dream...

Later!

A new beginning

4 March 2009
I just recieved money from Jesse, so I decided to reset the bankroll here to $12,000 so you guys can follow the action. It's going to be fun to be able to play the $150-$200 tourneys on Full Tilt, I think they're pretty weak compared to Pokerstars. Anyways, I won't play much untill next week but I'll keep you updated if I do...

Wish me luck

Finally!

26 February 2009
I finally final tabled another 180 player $38 dollar SNG. The feeling was great and for the first time in a very long time I actually felt something while playing for money and the top 1-3 place was really tempting. Everything went very smooth untill I ran my KK into AQ and he obviously had to hit the A on the turn which crippled me badly but I managed to come back and I got all the way to heads up.
I think I played better than the guy I was facing heads up but he still managed to win when my ThJd didn't hold up against his Ks2s when the turn gave me the straight and he caught a flushdraw which lead to the obvious spade on the river. I don't think I could ever fold that river though when we had so much invested in the pot and the blinds were so high, oh well, I'm quite happy with the overall result and I guess that's just poker!

By the way, the payout structure in these are kind of wicked, basically, you have to end up 1st to 3rd most of the time if you are going to play these tourneys profitably since;

1st pays $1,782.00
2nd pays $1,188.00
3rd pays $706.86

and after that every payout is under $475.20 bucks and with the swings in the 180 turbo SNGs you've got to have atleast 200 buyins which won't allow you to ever go for anything except top 3. I mean, if you end up at 4th place you'll only get $475.20 which only translates into 13 buyins.

Enough with the boring stuff, the whole post is more or less pretty dull but I'm very tired and I really need to go to bed now! I might post something "interesting" tomorrow!

Good night all!

PS.
Sorry for any inconvenience / headache while reading this text, once again I'm very tired and to be honest my english ain't all that good from the start
DS.

Running bad?

25 February 2009
I feel like I'm running like a crippled horse who has a thing for valium, but I still ended up with a profit today, which is kind of weird. I guess I shouldn't complain but what the heck...

Oh and by the way, I got a private message from one of the highest stakers online today, he said he would be interested in staking me for a long time which would allow me to basically play any stakes there is online, maybe not the $1,000 SNGs but everything under which is more than enough. We'll see how the deal evolves but it could potentially give me the chance to play for a living... Boooyaahh!

Good night everyone!

Up and down!

24 February 2009
superfamous 16 -$42 $47 -85% -$676

Stopped playing today after only a few games since nothing really worked out for me, but I hope that by tomorrow it will turn around again!

Running hot hot hot!

23 February 2009
Stats for this session:

superfamous 41 $124 $44 213% $5,064

Well, was out the whole weekend partying and when I woke up on sunday I felt the urgent need to play poker, registered for a couple of SNG MTTs and just ran hotter than ever. After only 1 hour I was up over +$1,700 which lead to a very confident play during the whole session.

I really do hope that this upswing will last for a couple of days, would be nice to hit $15,000-$20,000 before May atleast. Anyways, have to go to bed, getting up early which sucks since it drains all my powers, urgh, oh well, can't do much about it...

Good luck at the tables!

Sick swings!

20 February 2009
First update on my pblog and guess what, the swings on the $60 / 45s are just as sick as scaphism said they would be, first session I played 52 games with a whopping ROI of 63% which resulted in a profit of +$2,071. The next day I played 55 games, was down -$1,500 for a while but then it turned and I ended up with a +$401 profit. But as most poker players know, every upswing has a downswing waiting around the corner, 47 games played, down -$961, the day later I played 34 games and lost -$772.

I guess these swings are not that bad since I've seen people with $5,000 swings at these levels, going to be fun and exciting to see how the graph evolves and hopefully I'll hit a $5,000 upswing rather than a downswing...

Good luck at the tables!
